Tasman Civil Pty Ltd was established in March 2005. The management and senior staff have many years experience between them in the civil contracting industry.

Tasman Civil are renowned in Perth Western Australia for the quality and quantity of work they are able to produce, along with a reputation for building successful and mutually beneficial relationships with clients, developers and engineers. This is evident in the amount of projects Tasman civil negotiate rather than tender on.

Tasman Civil have a workforce of 85 direct employees, and a similar number of subcontractors working on 10-12 projects at any one time.

Tasman Civil's in-house training scheme has seen many of our young employees rise up through the ranks into positions of greater responsibility.

Tasman Civil Pty Ltd operates out of premises located in Bellevue Western Australia and operate their own in house maintenance, service and refuelling.


LandCorp is Western Australia's land development agency. LandCorp's work aims to optimise Western Australia's land and property assets to accommodate the changing needs of the community.

LandCorp's vision is to influence and manage land development on behalf of the State Government for the benefit of the community; and have responsibility for identifying, planning and developing major land and infrastructure projects across Western Australia. LandCorp takes a long term view of State-wide needs, acquire and develop land to facilitate the delivery of projects on time, on budget and to specification to meet these needs.

Project Management Plan


In 2013 Tasman Civil developed a Project Management Plan specifically for the Waikiki-Stage 1 Project. The PMP included details of the company's overall Integrated Management System and critical issues associated with this project with regards to Quality, Safety, Health and the Environment

LandCorp requested Tasman Civil approach Ringshaw Consulting to review the PMP against the WA Legislative requirements.

Consequently Tasman Civil contracted Ringshaw Consulting to not only review the Waikiki-Stage 1 PMP but to also provide model Work Method Statements and a presentation package outlining the methodology of developing Job Safety and Environmental Analysis (JSEA) and subsequent Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).


Tasman Civil's QSE Manager provided Neil with a copy of the Waikiki-Stage 1 PMP and associated JSAs that had been developed for the project for review. Even though Bureau Veritas had audited Tasman Civil systems and certified them to be in accordance with AS/NZS ISO 14001:2004, AS/NZS 4801:2001 and AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008 it was evident that the translation through to the Waikiki-Stage 1 PMP was lacking. Ringshaw Consulting documented recommendations for improvement and through as series of meetings with the QSE Manager re-developed the Waikiki-Stage 1 PMP and was then able to confirm in writing Tasman Civil's compliance as outlined below:

'This letter is to confirm that Neil Ringshaw (WorkSafe Plan Assessor No. 059) has reviewed the Project Management Plan (PMP) developed by Tasman Civil for the works to be completed for Waikiki — Stage 1. The PMP, in conjunction with Tasman Civil Quality, Safety Environment (QSE) Management Plan was reviewed against requirements of the Western Australian Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 and associated legislation. Tasman Civil Pty Ltd has documented a systematic approach to the management of safety and health as per the requirements of WorkSafe — a division of the Department of Commerce, the Western Australian State Government agency responsible for the administration of the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1984.'

The letter was sent through to LandCorp and subsequently Tasman Civil was awarded the contract for the works.

Neil also reviewed the JSAs provided by Tasman Civil and worked through the process of developing SWMS from JSEAs and provided a training package to the QSE Manager for implementation of the same.
